Keep in mind that only 90 to 120 seconds of each song was played and that most songs take several full listens before realizing their potential. With that in mind, make sure to spend time with these projects when they come across your desk. All are good and many are truly outstanding.

Thanks to all the labels, artists, managers, publishers, publicists and independent record promoters who sent music for us to audition. From more than 90 CD submissions we attempted to pick a dozen songs that represent the wide pallet of colors that is Triple A non-commercial radio. Special thanks to the WFPK listeners who offered their insightful comments as well as the great panel of Randy Wynne, David Dye, Melanie Walker, and Mike Matthews for their work.

I’d also like to thank these people for their astute advice, incredible patience and mostly for their keen recommendations: Melanie Shrawder, Julia Clarke, Bruce Warren, Dan Reed, Stacy Owen, Thorn, Kevin Cole, Nic Harcourt and Shawn Stewart.
