The son of celebrated Texas novelist Larry McMurtry, James grew up learning how to view the world with a literary eye. He’s a keen observer of the nuances of the human condition, and a great storyteller to boot. His new record, Just Us Kids, is the fourth that he’s self-produced, and the first for his own label, Lightning Rod Records.
