Michael Franti’s new video for “Hey Hey Hey,” which he produced and directed, was filmed in various cities during his fall tour (I’m pretty sure I spotted Austin!). In it, he takes to the streets and captures portraits of ordinary citizens, emphasizing the fleeting nature of life’s moments of joy and strife.

According to Franti, “‘Hey Hey Hey’ is about overcoming adversity and appreciating every second that we have on this planet. The video is centered around the lives of everyday people as we all experience rough times and lean on each other for support and to help lift our spirits.”

Franti is asking fans to share stories about how they are holding on and overcoming obstacles during these challenging times by uploading video messages on his website. The footage will be culled to create a collective message of hope for the holiday season.
