The great Drive-By Truckers played Letterman this week and David liked their soulful rendition of Eddie Hinton’s “Everybody Needs Love” so much that he asked them for a reprieve to close out the show. Great stuff!

For an article that’s really enjoyable to read despite being based upon a completely ridiculous premise, head on over to Grantland.com. Chuck Klosterman applies advanced statistical metrics in an attempt to assign a numeric value to rock bands and their members. Funny stuff. On a side note, if you haven’t checked out Grantland yet, you should. Great content on sports and pop culture.
