This is a wonderful short essay on the confounding nature of the mania surrounding Tim Tebow. Chuck Klosterman has a razor-sharp, yet delightfully quirky, mind.
Here we are again! The end of yet another year. This one was particularly tumultuous, for both our industry and the world at large. And as 2011 comes to a close, we’re back to help take the pulse of our community with the annual Songlines Poll.
If you’ve been around adult rock radio for a while, you’ve probably seen a few of these by now and know just what to do. If you’re a newcomer, here’s the drill: we ask questions about music, sports, books, politics, the holidays, and the many terrific people that we get to spend time with at conventions. Some questions are serious but most are intended to be fun. All of your answers will remain anonymous.
We want to thank all the folks who submitted ideas this year, especially: Mark Abuzzahab, Jim McGuinn, Gabby Parsons, and Chris Wienk.
When you have ten minutes or so, take the Poll. Results will be posted in the New Year.
Merry Merry!

You won’t believe this collection of stunning photos, capturing some of the year’s most moving moments. We’ve been returning to them all week, and pretending we’re just chopping onions.
This Gizmodo post is evidence that we’re ever closer to a virtual irony where even the “House” is no longer needed!
